Did Roberts not explain his decision because I didn't see it in the AP article. What are the next steps?

By this logic the USA will change drastically after every single election, making it impossible to govern. What is happening now is not normal, nor should it become the new normal.

You know what they would love more, validation. No on cloture!

Vote no. Appeasement is not the answer. Look at all these comments from your base telling you no!

They should attend and they should disrupt and resist, let the world see a room full of opposition and not one full of sycophants.

I think these kinds of posts are not helpful. We have too many things to be fighting for right now to be worried about "told ya so." We have to unite if we are going to survive this.

This directive doesn't explicitly mention TSA or passports, but it does create the possibility that the TSA will see your passport as defective. Also trans people could face demeaning situations going through security, such as having someone of your opposite gender patting you down.

It's like when Putin started framing LBGTQ+ rights as "Western ideological attacks" or Nazi Germany when trans and queer people were targeted as threats to family and national unity.

If you have trans friends, ask them how they’re doing. Listen to them without judgement or advice. Just be the person that listens, understands, and hugs them when they most need it. If you don’t have trans friends, seek out trans groups online and offline, and offer your support.

Raise awareness and educate others. Most people have no idea who trans people are, or even worse – have a view on trans people that is not based on facts. We can’t reach a sizable portion of the population without your help. Engage in debates for us, and teach others what you have learned from us.

Educate yourself on trans issues, because even our allies have limited understanding of our issues. Even if you think you have a basic understanding, seek out trans activists who are willing to share their knowledge with you so your help can have the best possible effect.

I hate all of this so much. I don't want to fight or die over this. I've been through too much in this lifetime to go through this. I
just want out.

Question: If the guidance comes back invalidating already issued passports or remains ambiguous what are the implications if someone has an interaction with law enforcement, especially with identification being under intense scrutiny by ICE at this time?

They changed the Administration for Children & Families policy page as well they removed the words, Inclusive, Diverse, and Affirmative.
