All in all this was an amazing trip, culminating in a rooftop waltz with Daisy at sunset, under the full moon to the beautiful mariachi music coming from “Bar” across the street. Next up, the British isles. Thank you Mexico!!

To make it to our dinner reservation in time we had to take a boat taxi through VERY choppy ocean. It did feel like the fateful “Three hour tour.” We actually sang a little Gilligans Island theme song to calm the nerves. Dinner was fun and, in that context worth it!

Indeed there was yoga going on this whole time, too!

I got to sing a little with a local musician at a cafe we came to adore. Only indigenous residents can own businesses here and we got to know and love some of them. (The musician is clearly not indigenous.)

Scary scary day as Daisy got stung by a venomous caterpillar. I killed about 10 of these in our common area. In the yoga mats too!!!

New friends and a couple of repeat participants like us…and ice cream.

Then it was off to the jungle of Yalapa for a yoga breath work retreat. We were lucky to have a new palapa to sleep in! We even had two walls! The view was…well you can see. No words.

A few more from New Years in Puerta Vallarta…

…we did New Year’s Eve with funny hats, a beautiful dinner and expert drag show. Then the whole city was out with bands and fireworks on the beach. The next day was gorgeous without so much as a hangover for any of us.
