Just back from a two week residency as part of the MA Dance: participation, communities and activism at The Place.
Coming from 13 countries and many languages we found each other and solidarity through dance. Embodied resistance to the things that try to separate us.

Had an absolute blast at the @ousewashesmolly.bsky.social Molly Day of Dance in Ely.
Grass-roots, independent, proper folk culture. As the new kids on the bloc Molly No-Mates were welcomed with open arms. That's what it's all about.

Wrote a little poem and short essay at Solstice. Sort of about writing and capitalism and also just for fun. Read or not. I enjoyed writing them.

This describes my Mum perfectly. I've seen her tell off a bus load of young men and taken on someone about their anti -immigrant views (again on a bus). She's the fiercest person I know.

Just for @jensomelunn.bsky.social I was brave and went running in the snow despite the fear of slipping.
Kept to areas of tree cover and proper snow. Leaped over icy bits. Dressed like a bad ass, although I think I mainly looked like a very careful granny.
