Saturday & Sunday 11am - 6pm. There's a beer garden and food trucks and so much to see!

I was enjoying how the light was playing on this washi tape piece I made. I'm going to finish it & take it with me to Brewery art walk.
I just had the extremely alarming realization that Art Walk is only 3 weeks from now. I'll be painting like crazy between now and then!!

Sometimes we have to show the falls too: I was trying to transfer inkjet photos into my sketchbook and onto postcards. I failed. I'm sad about it because I had a project in mind for a gift... I will continue to experiment and hopefully figure out a technique that works for me.

I had a pretty rough day with my COPD/allergies, but made sure to do some new gel print collage pieces. My first time trying this technique and I REALLY like it! I'm running headlong into making the tiny paintings, bookmarks, and postcards. Tomorrow I am going to play with markers and foils!

Doing this pair of tiny paintings was so fun. I think I will do another version this weekend. Maybe a finch? Or a crab? What do you think?

This is a little painting I did with acrylics and some layers of holographic mylar just for fun. It's painted on a playing card. I quite like using playing cards as paint surfaces.

I embroidered flowers to embellish fingerless gloves for my friend. The dissolving fabric does strange things sometimes; I am never sure if the stitches will hold or if it will fall entirely apart. It held up okay, except the leaves, but I made it work and I think the final project was pretty neat!

Sometimes it's fun to make doodles and scribbles with new paint markers! I really enjoy doing these kinds of meditative exercises in my art journal.

This is my workspace today. I'm trying to shake myself back into regular painting but it's always a bit of a slow start. What does your workspace look like?

Flipping through some of the monoprints I did last year. They are SO fun to do! These are going to be backgrounds for a new series of paintings. Each one is unique. I think some would look great on textiles 🤔 Which do you like best?
