Sometimes old people don’t realize the terms they use actually have negative meanings. They were common terms used in their day and to them sometimes just described someone without negativity attached. Hugs

Therapy is great if you find the right therapist. They are there for you to explore your own feelings and reflect back what you are saying. They are not there for validation of your choices, or counseling as to what choices to make. You solve, or accept the issues yourself, but they help.

Alex, it's good to know how you rebuild your emotional strength. Some guys do it with others, some guys do it alone, some have a safe place, some just need to let it out. It's good to know where you get your emotional strength and if it's gone rebuild the support you need.

Been there, done that, but tomorrow is another day. It's one of the best lines from Gone With the Wind. I often find myself saying if I think about it now, i'll go mad, i'll go to Tara, yes I will go and think about it tomorrow, after all tomorrow is another day. Tara, her safe place. Hugs

Try Google Maps on your iPhone too. I find Google Maps sometimes keeps better tracks of traffic impacts. However, when both compute out the route they take into account the traffic at that time. Things change and while I find Apple will report back it often says I am on the best available route.
