I very much like the way she demonstrates that elderly aunts have a lifetime's worth of unusual skills to apply to any given situation and will absolutely fuck you up if you go for their family.

They were happy to come out and pick stuff up from my house - there's a bit of a wait for them to have a van and crew available, though. I'm not sure how far they're willing to travel, unfortunately...

If helps, I know you're a little ways away, but Wastesavers in Newport happily took bookcases, a table, a tumble-dryer, etc off me for their reuse programme and shop. The only thing they wouldn't take was an old CRT monitor as it was considered hazardous waste. wastesavers.co.uk/reuse/

I don't normally get into arguments in public, but he'd already lectured me on how the lunch I was eating while waiting for my bus was toxic because it wasn't vegan.

I once had an argument with a random person at a bus stop in Cardiff after he told the rest of us waiting there how great it was he'd persuaded his friend not to have his daughter get the hep B vaccine because "she's a baby, how could she have hepatitis?"
