The main reason I even bothered doing the quest day was due to me finding out the Traveler got a new outfit at the end of it. Gonna take some time to get used to it, but it looks pretty good.

A link to my Top 8 list from 2024:
Listing my Top 8 Favorite Games of 2024!

To start, these games would've made my top games list if I played and finished them:

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Metaphor: ReFantazio
Granblue Fantasy: Relink

1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

I couldn't fight fate. When the game displayed a world map, I got pulled into E33's world head first. A breath taking experience! The call back to old school turn based RPGs wrapped with a captivating story and titillating gameplay made this my favorite game of 2025.

2. Ghost of Yotei

I REALLY wanted to make this my number 1, and in any other year it would be. Yotei's revenge story was good, but what really grabbed me was the beautiful environments of the world. I played the game with Watanabe Mode on from beginning to end, which elevated everything for me.

3. Monster Hunter World (PC)

When my disappointment in Wilds hit its peak in May, I finally decided to Return to World. The moment I got to Astera, I felt at home. I quickly dropped 233 hours into World from May thru July and defeated Fatalis again. My love for this game is immeasurable.

4. Like a Dragan: Infinite Wealth

I knew if I gave this game time, it would make my Top 8 list. Another fun romp by RGG Studio to one of my all-time favorite game series. Ichiban cemented himself as a great Yakuza protag in this game, and I was so happy I got to play as Kiryu as well. Awesome game!

5. Hollow Knight

The hype surrounding Silksong's release date finally pushed me to try out the original. I was never really a Metroidvania player before, but this game changed all of that. The world budling, characters, game play and the environment all blew me away. I was late, but I get it now.

6. Monster Hunter Wilds

Oof. I just knew this would be my game of the year, but it wasn't even close. While I liked it, performance issues and streamlining the experience from MH: World hurt Wilds a lot. Capcom finally improved the game experience towards the end of 2025, so I am enjoy it again.

7. Stellar Blade (PC)

Back-to-back Top 8's for Eve! Everything I said last year still stands, but the PC version is a MUCH better experience. Besides the great performance, having mods to give proper high heels saved a lot of outfits for me. Already on playthrough number 3. Love this game!

8. South of Midnight

This game had a great setting, wonderful music and enchanting graphics. The story actually taught me a lot about southern folk tales and I really liked the characters.

I don't trust Microsoft to do right by game devs, but I hope to see a sequel to South of Midnight someday.

I am also grateful for some outfit adjustments too, like bringing back the original Holiday Rabbit, and making one of my favorite "tame" outfits even better. Stellar Blade on PC is definitely the best way for me to enjoy this game!

This should be a pretty interesting game awards, since I'm curious if people will give Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 its full bouquet of flowers, or just a few to counter how much it's been nominated. It won five of my votes (six with the actor), but I wouldn't be mad if it swept.
