What kind of rats are they getting at the Kent, dude?
When we were in Boston, we found this little bar not too far from our hotel and decided to spend the evening there chatting with our bartender.

Turned out her family summered in Nova Scotia when she was a kid. We ended the night with a shot together. No names exchanged, simply strangers to friends.

I love a good nature documentary. The fact that we get to live in time where we can so easily observe nature behaving as if we aren’t watching is so cool to me.

I’m also a big fan of how aquariums can be a place to ignite that curiosity in people. Nothing beats being face-to-face with a sea turtle.

I helped coordinate and shoot a book launch the other week.

Chef Irene Matys welcomed us all to her Cypriot Table that night - introducing a whole room of folks to some truly delicious foods, as well as stories from the heart.

It was a pleasure.

There’s this rotating group of chef’s that put on a collaborative dinner every once in a while here. It’s an incredible experience.

Each of the chefs tells a story with their dish - giving you a sense of how they think about ingredients and cooking in general. All while overflowing with passion.

Last year I was asked to guest judge a black box cooking competition. My only stipulation was being able to go shoot the promo with the crew.

I’ve been really taking opportunities wherever I can to learn more lately, and I think it’s really starting to come through in the quality of my work!

I’ve really been leaning into my photography skills with my current gig.

It took a long time to find a job that built my skills up like this one has, and not taken from my mental health like so many of my past jobs have.

Here’s a few shots I’m proud of from last year.

I was in Boston for work over the St. Patty’s Day weekend. The attitude and liveliness of the city was electric. In a lot of ways it felt like home. Both in a wistful sort of way and in a real tangible way. Loved my time in the city, I hope to be back soon.

Every time I pick strawberries, I feel a bit closer to my grandfather. When we were young, he grew strawberries and sold them at the local co-op to give my brother and I cash every once in a while. Good berries this year, not as good as Grampy’s, but still good.
