When you try and fail so much, it’s just exhausting. Made peace that I shouldn’t weigh less than 230lbs. I’ve been so physically burnt out it was affecting me mentally. It’s only been a few weeks so far to maintain, it’s definitely lifting my spirit, even my damaged nerves aren’t holding me back.

Woke up this morning with a salutations from 2 bear cubs climbing a tree in my front yard. Look down the ledge and of course, the sow.

Binging Star Trek while on shutdown furlough. Finally got to the Chris Pine films. As I’m finally watching Star Trek Beyond, I’ve only gotten up about 3 times and only for a few seconds, and it seems like the plot has changed every time. Am I just burnt out or is the whole plot just that quick?😳

After San Francisco and beaches, made it back home for the rest of the trip for some Big Trees, Stargazing and swimming in the crash pool of the tallest waterfall on the continent. I can’t even fathom how much I love seeing him in exploration mode.

Beach hopping on the PCH. Cant believe I’ve been living in CA for 2 years and this is the first time coming to the coast.

It marks the 5th week of exploring a lake here that I haven’t been to before, and about 2000 more to to.

He wanted to go all the way to the High Sierra for a snow day. Still a bit too much deep snowpack to safely go further, but Archer got his play day.

My second home opened! My “short” hike turned into a 24 mile day hike. Had an out of body experience once I saw the Lyell and Maclure glaciers and had to get a closer look. All the while, a Golden Eagle decided to fly with me for a few miles. Didn’t bring gear to trek up the rest of the snow though

Moving to Wawona today and of course my habit of being an hour early to anything—whether I try to or not—gets the better of me. I’m two hours early. I could’ve slept in an hour and a half longer. 😒
