When this shit is over, I think Ukraine will be recognized as an increasingly important contributor in many new areas. People like you will have a very important role after the war, because Ukraine is going to flourish while Russia rots on the ground like the roadkill it is.

My husband is from Ukraine. I didn’t realize until after we met how many uniquely Ukrainian things were lumped in as Russian during the Soviet times. Most of that false attribution persists now because it was so engrained in the American vocabulary. Blew my mind.
