The House Oversight Committee will subpoena the Justice Department to release files tied to the case of Jeffrey Epstein. Three Republicans joined Democrats, in an 8-2 vote, to approve a motion to compel the DOJ to release files tied to Epstein. The motion was brought by Rep. Summer Lee, D-PA.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said the temporary facility will have 5,000 beds and open in early July.

“We’ll have some light infrastructure, a lot of heavy duty tent facilities, trailer facilities,” Uthmeier said. “We don’t need to build a lot of brick-and
mortar.”

Tanis Monroy pled guilty to charges stemming from the misappropriation of more than $20,000, while working as manager of the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg, PA, and will spend one year on probation plus pay restitution for the single felony count of theft by unlawful taking.

The Harrisburg School District removed Dr. Sieta Achampong from her position as principal of the SciTech Campus during Tuesday's board meeting. The official action followed a meeting at the SciTech campus on Monday where a large crowd turned out in support of her retention. Link to story in bio.

In what many political observers would consider unusual for Harrisburg, Pennsylvania elections, especially with a crowded primary field, no objections to nomination petitions were filed Dauphin County. Elsewhere in the state, objections were filed against five candidates.
