Actually we are moving, but just from Glasgow to Stirling.
January 14, 2026 at 5:13 PM
We are moving to a new studio in Stirling. We now have the keys, however to install our production equipment and fit it out, we really need your support now. We need to reach our target of £30,000 in the next 18 days. Please donate whatever you can afford.

At the @snp.org #Holyrood26 campaign event in Glasgow today, Broadcasting Scotland's Kathryn Nutt asked @johnswinney.bsky.social about the risk of a low turnout in the May election.

2025 was a tough year.
We lost some old friends...
and found some new.
We reported from Scotland and around the world, putting fair and balanced journalism at the heart of what we do.
2026 brings new challenges and opportunities as we move to our new studio in Stirling.

One of my favourite films is on TV. "Casablanca" tells the story of refugees escaping war in Europe, arriving by boat in North Africa on their way to the UK and America, helped on their way by profiteers and people smugglers, while Nazis try to stop the boats and planes.

The past year has been challenging, but Broadcasting Scotland has survived and we are set to evolve and grow in the new year. We have a new structure and board and we will be moving to our new studio in January, but we need your support to make it happen.

Feeling very frustrated this morning as once more Burns' words impact on life as "The best laid schemes of mice and men gang aft agley."

Having built a temporary studio so we could broadcast and record our #FullScottish Review of the Year programmes today, flu has intervened.

We will try again.

We have set up a temporary studio in our Glasgow premises until we are able to switch to our new studio in Stirling. Please donate whatever you can afford to help us make the move as smoothly as possible.

Thanks

We move in to our new studio in January and still have a bit of work to do to get it ready, but we can't think of a better location for a studio for Scotland's independent broadcaster? We do need to raise about £30K, so please donate whatever you can afford.

We could have found our new studio space, but we will need to get close to our £30k target. With luck and your support we could be in by mid January and up and running again soon after that.

Please donate whatever you can afford. Thank you.

We might have found the perfect studio space, but we have a lot to do to make the move. We have to be out of our current premises by the end of January, so we really need your support to reach our £30k target in just 6 weeks.

We are relieved to have been given an extension to the lease on our studio until the end of January. Although it has all been dismantled, we now have a temporary set up which will enable us to broadcast until we move.

Watch this space and tune in for the #FullScottish tomorrow.

Apologies fo being unable to bring you #FMQsLive today - we had internet connection issues, which are sorted now, thankfully. We are undergoing a bit of upheaval as we prepare to move to new studios, so please bear with us as we go forward.

FM @johnswinney.bsky.social is speaking now.
December 8, 2025 at 10:30 AM
Our move to a new studio is taking a little longer than anticipated, so we have to apologise, as we are unable to bring you a #FullScottish for a second week.

Watch this space, we have some big announcements coming soon. We can only exist with your continued support.

Thank You!

BBC Scotland is off air due to a fire breaking out at the BBC's Pacific Quay Scottish headquarters.

On this St. Andrews Day, it is heartbreaking for us to announce that we are unable to bring you a #FullScottish this week. We are in the process of moving out of our Glasgow studio, but we still need to secure our new studio premises, but we will tell you more about that soon.
