FWIW, I absolutely love Linux and want to see it go mainstream. These are very real issues, and they can be addressed. Installer failure issues are being fixed every day by the amazing FOSS contributors. It just needs more time to bake until it's ready for mass adoption

Before I see any Linux apologists crying in the replies, I want to say that this issue is challenging widespread adoption. Linux must be consumer-friendly; anybody without a solid technical BG should be able to install it. macOS and Windows do a great job with this, which is why they are so popular.
