Liberalism isn't sufficient in our political climate; It must be Democratic Socialism. Contrary to what the corporate wing of the Democratic Party would have you believe, socialists can win. This is possible.

A Better World Is Possible.

Mamdani has built a multi-cultural, -racial & -religious coalition w a simple & hopeful economic message of housing affordability, free childcare, experimental public grocery stores in food deserts & increasing the min wage. It wasn't just a hopeful message, it was one based on calculated economics.

Mamdani on the other hand has re-energized blocs that Democrats have been losing, such as men, black and brown workers, and the general working class. Democrats also can't just match Mamdani's campaign aesthetic and vibes; Mamdani's policies are the vibes, they are what won.

The Dem Party has hemorrhaged support from the working class, black/brown communities & immigrant communities. The Geriatric Old Guard sold us out to monied interests & gave us Do-Nothing Dems like Biden, Schumer & Jeffries. They have given us nothing. They have given Rep easy wins by rolling over

As Baraka has correctly and unapologetically said on the campaign trail: "You can't fight extremism with moderation!"

I am excited to support Baraka's campaign for NJ Governor from the capital county!

This is weaseling and anyone defending this also stands for nothing. Get these middling moderates out of power and influence

Even the article says he agrees with congestion pricing. He's against NY's unilateral implementation of the plan and wants regional cooperation of the pricing. That's not incorrect. As a planner, regional planning and intergovernmental and interagency cooperation isn't new and is encouraged

Baraka isnt opposed to congestion pricing though. He is in favor of it. He even pointed out its benefits at the debate -reduces CO2 emissions & pollutants that cause respiratory issues, which is largely a public health issue that we need to tackle, esp in communities w large POC populations
