The cold always defeats me, especially when you open the fucking windows in the dead of winter

The key issue is how are you going to convince ANYONE to give up their business? One they worked hard for to build? We tried that and it backfired. No one is going to give up their businesses, so you have to regulate how they operate that they are not a money printer for an individual

it's meant to add to a functional version in a meaningful way without taking away the core principles of socialism. You also need to think about physical distances. Every tiny aspect has to be thought over, and needs its own iteration based on core principles to make it realistically functional

That's the current evolution of how German socialists built from the idealistic into a realistic version of socialism. It covers every aspect in a satisfactory, practical, and functional way. While keeping healthy competition seems not socialist in nature, the way we want to incorporate it,

So you have 4 layers. city, district, state, country. businesses have to operate on a flat hierarchy, not a clunky and slow one, but fast and responsive and that's where you need to have a handful of representatives able to call the shots or it devolves into a bureaucratic disaster.

from the original ideals, but it's actually functional in a globalized world and at these large scales. While local towns and regions manage themselves, they still rely on finances allocated by state and country governments. My point is, we cut some layers and merge them.
November 20, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Sadly it's just the ideal. That's what to strive for and the socialism we cook up here is more flexible in that. Regulated markets, called social market. Abolishing taxes on essential products, having an outward government but a flat hierarchy because you do need order. It's deviating
November 20, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Socialism at large scales like countries has evolved from the ideals you describe because it's not sustainable. Not in a world with 200 nations and every single one running their own version of politics and economy. Practical Socialism tackes these aspects in a way that to you don't look pure
November 20, 2025 at 1:36 AM
Functional in their environment. Now link them into districts, larger regions, states, and ultimately to a country government. You end up with 50 layers of democracy that slows down decision making and therefore productivity. Modern goals should encompass a simplified and accessible democracy

Makes sense on paper. And works in small groups where they share the vision of that idea. It's however hard to scale it up to a bigger commune, even harder to an entire region, and near impossible to scale it to states and countries

By idea I mean new products, improvements to.existing products, stuff like that. What incentive is given that people want to go ahead with realizing it?
November 20, 2025 at 12:34 AM
And the incentive for the company owner? Or anyone to even open a company? Sharing ideas is great, yes, but you need incentives to motivate people to bring that idea forward. So what are you going to give people in return? Having an idea become reality isn't really a good incentive for the majority
November 20, 2025 at 12:32 AM
That's correct and I apologize for not clarifying what I mean by personal ownership. I meant things you personally bought for your own use. Or small family businesses that remain within the family. Or do you want to share your PC with your neighbors or have random people in your house?

Personal growth is key to happiness, and teaching to share excesses beyond personal needs with the public is a socialist ideal to strive for.
November 19, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Also, socialism doesn't seek to make everything collectively owned, that's communism. Socialism tries to balance public ownership and private ownership in ways that necessities are pubicly owned, while certain things are privately owned. So everyone has the chance of personal growth.

because people are not in survival mode. Sure, once people realise that the right has exploited them, we get a left shift too, but you need to ride that wave into a good economy which then is redistributed to the people in various forms of social prosperity.
November 19, 2025 at 11:34 PM
address people's fears, needs, and views in a way that gently ties them into socialism so you can open their eyes to the possibilities of it. That's why I focus on economy, because bad economy = bad living standards. That leads to often right wing extremism. Good economy shifts it back to the left
November 19, 2025 at 11:34 PM
acknowledging that economy is part of socialism and taking away the fear of market crashes, exploitation, and financial ruin, is equally as important since capitalism is right now the dominating economy and for most the only thing they know. Forcing socialism is going to fail, so you need to
November 19, 2025 at 11:34 PM
to implement socialism in a pure form. And I'm planning on implementing it. Most socialists outside of the economic and political field are sering and talking about socialism from the idealist view. But staying grounded in realist views is how we can achieve the goal of socialism, that means
November 19, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Socialism is a democracy, abolishing the democracy is leading us to absolutely nowhere. But because of the misuse of socialism as a word, we use socialist democracy to make it clear for everyone. Social democracy is the current form that comes closest to socialism and is the stepping stone needed
November 19, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Yes. In one of the first ever socialist parties that tried to implement a socialist democracy
