Yes, most horses are very intelligent; some amazingly so.
Working with kids with horses is truly beneficial. Great experience for everyone. I was once a horse walker for kids working with a therapist; physical & mental. The kids always lit up with a huge smile when they got up in the saddle.

I grew up in a Montana ranching family. My father was a horse wrangler; broke horses for riding in his early years. Moved to Arizona when I was little. My mother raised a big family (MT & AZ) and then Arabian horses there. My father kept Texas longhorns! Refined vs rough & tough!
