Honest question, wtf do you want TOMORROW? Not some theoretical Utopia.
November 24, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Oh please. You really want an out-of-control barking dog there all night keeping everybody awake? Nothing will ever make you happy. I’m the kind of person that celebrates steps and tries to make sure they continue.

And wrong again: “Guests at St. Stephen’s will also be encouraged to attend the Operation Nightwatch evening events on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, where they can access mental health counseling and a connection to a broader array of services.”
November 24, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Nope again: “what does a shelter guest at one of these new locations get during their stay? The answer varies slightly by shelter.
At St. Stephen’s, all guests get a light evening meal, overnight storage for personal items, bathroom access, a place to sleep and a “breakfast item” in the morning.

Wrong again: “A few animal crates were placed next to some of the mats. Pets will be welcome, Margraves said, as long as they are well behaved.” www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...
Portland will open its third overnight shelter next week. Here’s what guests will actually get
Portland Mayor Keith Wilson will soon be 80 beds closer to his goal of offering 1,500 overnight-only shelter beds by Dec. 1.

You can stop replying to me, as I asked you before. I’ve not seen a single comment of yours that is productive.
November 24, 2025 at 1:53 AM
You aren’t a very good listener, he’s doing both. Most people who were contacted by police accepted shelter. So ask them if they weren’t better off taking shelter.
November 24, 2025 at 1:52 AM
“Wilson has said having more than 100 open beds a night at the new shelters is part of his plan because it allows the city to direct people to those beds immediately without having to put them on a shelter bed wait list.” How does this not make sense to people?
November 24, 2025 at 1:28 AM
“People can stay at these shelters longer and are offered a secure way to store their belongings when they leave for a job or other daily appointments. The shelters offer two meals a day, case management and housing placement services. “
November 24, 2025 at 1:27 AM
“A majority of the area’s 24-hour shelters – there are nearly 40 of them, including 10 run by the city – are operated by the city and Multnomah County. Those shelters are more popular, with most tracking daily usage rates above 90%…”
November 24, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Some are, some aren’t. We have more than we did and amenities will be slow to get across the board, but at least somebody’s paying attention to something other than a 10 year plan to build a bunch of brick and mortar without caring about people in the interim.
November 24, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Not Bub. Jesus, the snark is ridiculous. You think this is OK, I don’t. Leave it at that.
November 24, 2025 at 1:22 AM
OK, now I know who you are. No need to interact anymore. I don’t spend time on inflexible, ideological people who never give real consideration to anything beyond what they already believe. 👋🏼
November 24, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Why are you talking in double speak? Just say what you’re trying to say. I’ve never even thought about Tiffany much until I saw this crappy behavior.
November 24, 2025 at 1:09 AM
They are providing storage at the overnight shelters that have recently been opened.
November 24, 2025 at 1:03 AM
Always with the negative, and the only positive most people offer is “meet them where they’re at,” which is double speak for in the year 2035 the problem will be exponentially worse, and nobody will do anything.
November 24, 2025 at 1:03 AM
How about you get childcare or time off work, get downtown, park, wait to testify, and your elected representative (getting paid $130K a year) giggles and talks while you are trying to say something that you consider important - basic GD respect.
November 24, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Giggling and talking while people who have made the effort to go to a city council meeting to testify person is not “leading.”
November 23, 2025 at 11:36 PM
How exactly would that eliminate the giggling and the side talking and the raising a monitor to block the fact that they’re doing it?
November 23, 2025 at 11:35 PM
You sure use a lot of what-about-ism. How about directly addressing the core issue of completely disrespectful behavior toward constituents during a public meeting?
November 23, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Sure, human, and extremely rude behavior. When you consider that people made the effort to show up, despite the fact, they have Jobs and kids and lives, it’s disgusting to giggle and ignore them.

Or you could’ve given him a heads up and explain clearly what you were trying to accomplish.
November 14, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Wrong. It’s the sleeping on the street that doesn’t work, and he’s been doing his best to open places for people to sleep and places where people can store their things, get help getting ID, get matched with services like getting into transitional housing, get hygiene facilities. That’s the first.
November 14, 2025 at 1:49 AM
Sounds pretty tone deaf to people’s real concerns.
