Congrats. I didn’t qualify for Pell Grants. I got plenty of merit scholarship offers at smaller schools that didn’t have the research opportunities that I had at A&M.

I was in the honors college. None of my friends were republicans. And yes, at 18, it did matter to me where the school was.

I wanted a college town experience (no UT and Rice), my parents paid for my degree and I wasn’t going to ask them for extra or take loans out for private tuition, and A&M is a top research university, which was necessary for my future career. I did not qualify for tuition assistance.

Breaking news: a campus of 60,000+ students is not a homogenous population. 🙄

Signed, disappointed A&M grad who did indeed attend for a STEM education and is certainly not a Christian nationalist (nor are any of my college friends).

Yesterday my bottle of cresyl violet mysteriously broke. It looked exactly like this poster and the floor in front of my bench now looks like I murdered Barney. Perhaps a serial criminal.
