I am continually hearing concerns from people about the state of healthcare. Overworked and underpaid staff and providers, overcrowded hospitals, and shut down ERs. Saskatchewan people deserve better.

Brent Blakley and I stopped by Southwest Crisis Services and the Southwest Newcomer Welcome Centre on our tour yesterday. We were inspired by the incredible work being done to support women leaving unsafe situations and to help newcomers find jobs, community, and resources.

Yesterday, the provincial Ombudsman committed to a formal investigation into the Sask. Party’s failure to provide wildfire evacuees with shelter, food and critical information and issued 14 calls to action to immediately improve the situation for so many forced from their homes.

Yesterday, the Sask Party organized their 80% male caucus to vote me off the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarian Association - an org dedicated to supporting women in politics. This is not what politics is about, and it’s certainly not what I’m about.
