For me it’s not been so much the story but the fact that his ring work is kinda unchanged. I was (maybe naively) hoping that with a face turn he would wrestle a bit more like he did pre-Tribal Chief. Part of me wonders if he’s saving that for Jacob because putting him over seems to be his big goal
