Didn't Chris Hart do that a lot for his books? Pretend it was him when it was other artists or make the credits hard to find?

Masters of Anatomy definitely works with a lot of different artists. So I wouldn't be surprised if they commissioned someone but in the past they've been good about credit.

It is so tough! Give it to me "collected edition" style.

I can also see that he's done much more normal looking work too, which has me thinking this could have been for a client requesting that style. I'm glad he's given it up. You see this much more in French cartooning still than other countries.

So Boomers and some Gen Xers generally accepted this style, even though it was was those same generations that pushed back against it and demanded better. Looking at the influence of the young men at Hanna Barbera and Filmation. There's history to what we're seeing, even if it's very "ick"

Second bit of context- during the 70s this type of caricature art was much more widely accepted. Even by African Americans and others in diaspora because it was some of the first representation in media that didn't couch the black experience in widely known stereotypes (Sambo, Mammy, etc).

First context- I am 100% African American. Second, these definitely fit into caricature territory but seem inspired by a certain type of old cartooning. A good example is Ralph Bakshi's films in the 70s, especially Coonskin. Also see Basketball Jones starring Tyrone Shoelaces.

You might still be able to. Some jam creators will add games made later if they fit the theme and you ask in the community. The worst they can say is no, and it seems at least one creator did get added after it closed.

Don't feel obligated on that point, though. I just have a sense that if you gave the instructions to players one will ask, "So how do we get money" - and the DM won't have answer. But a sponsor/patron is pseudo-obvious. Again, go with what works for you though as the creator.

I think it's a good angle, I read the document with the voice of the guy who does the "Darkest Dungeon" narration so the contrast was wild. Why not go with "sponsors" instead of money? Each mission has one, right? Then the idea is please the sponsors (the goal) and please the fans (mysterious)

THAT makes sense now! It wasn't immediately clear because of the next mention of him needing participants for HIS perversions. So if masochism is his perversion he didn't seem to be getting much out of it. But now I'm seeing he's the god OF masochists and not an embodiment of it. Makes sense.

It'll be great!

Otherwise, Great concept and game. I wish you'd have been included in the TittyRPGJam!! This fits right in with the spirit of the event.

I REALLY appreciate that you added lore to here. Cause I am a whore for lore. However, under "THE DUNGEON" you mention the god of masochism being behind this. But masochism is liking having things done TO you. I suggest swapping that out with: god of voyeurism, god of hedonism, or libertine god

Instead of stating, "You're a whore. You need money..." I'd suggest "You're a whore. You need validation..." because 1. Equating sexual freedom with sex work isn't a 1-to-1 split. 2. Amassing money isn't a developed game mechanic or mentioned elsewhere.

At some point you have to feel as if Ernie knew this guy in real life and this was payback.
