I saw so many indie films here while visiting my cousin in HS/college. I'm not from Mass.

They might have been done by then. Needless to say, amazing shoe string fries and endless toppings on the poutine - pastrami, beef, chicken, peppers, onions, bacon, you name it. And cheap.

It's awesome. Small portions, like sliders and such, so you can get it all. A real institution.

Did you ever experience Mondo Frites on St. Laurent? They were fire (they existed till about 2003ish?).

I'd rather have a market crash now while I'm still investing rather than later when I've just retired 🤷‍♂️
February 16, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Biden .. 🤷‍♂️
February 16, 2025 at 3:05 AM
Yup. Probably 🤷‍♂️

And then the market bounced back like nothing ever happened. The last five years have probably been the best ever for the markets in history 🤷‍♂️

The first flight was by the Wright Brothers in December 1903 and the first commercial flight was in January 1914. 10 yrs. Meanwhile we're still on COBOL systems from 50 years ago. What happened to America 🤣
February 15, 2025 at 11:27 PM
It wasn't though.. for the markets, at least 🤷‍♂️

It's supposed to precipitate through ~3AM Monday here in Portland. So, yeah.. probably going to be a mess at 5pm pickup time.. unless they do night skiing there? Either way, 10PM should be shitty too 🤷‍♂️
February 15, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Yes, exactly. So many leftovers (and I love leftovers!).. just not so many leftovers when I feed the whole neighborhood. Beef is fine but man, that lamb cooked up so good.. totally fell apart in the mouth.

This weekend was the Great Weekend of Stew at mi casa. It started with a lamb stew on Friday because Fresh Approach here in Portland posted they had stew lamb. I nearly bought them out and fed all my neighbors. No leftovers Saturday so I made more but had to add beef because I bought all their lamb!

I am confused about the "non-human character" bit?

But I do love craigslist for cars and boats!

Democrats are almost worse than Republicans because at least Republicans are obvious about what they're trying to do. Democrats smile and assure you while they're picking your pockets.

To be honest I don't even use any of that stuff for furniture. Furniture just finds me! Half the stuff in my house is from friends/neighbors moving and giving stuff away for free, or just stuff left on the curb on my street - literally don't even have to go a block!

To this day I think Teenager of the Year is the greatest guitar-driven rock album of the 90s and that's saying something because there was a lot of great rock music in the 90s.

I almost went.. I'm kind of pissed at myself, honestly. I'm such a homebody! 😭
January 31, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Why stop at 4" honestly 🤷‍♂️
January 30, 2025 at 12:01 AM
I love when I see horses, donkeys, cows, etc just having fun with a big beach ball!
January 28, 2025 at 12:05 AM
I really really value my time 🤷‍♂️. If it works for you, great! If there was an easy way to quickly determine the cheapest store for each item I had on a list I'd be far more apt to do this.
January 26, 2025 at 5:32 PM
My local grocery store is 2 blocks from Trader Joe's and that TJs is 2 blocks from Whole Foods.. Market Basket and Walmart are 15min in opposite directions. If there was *significant* savings I'd consider it but each store adds 30min, easy, nevermind the effort to determine what is cheapest where.
