my sleep troubles have been back the last month or so. i made this piece for the parts of me that like to remember that while it’s true that our world is fraught with hard parts and bad news, i am also, in this moment, safe enough to rest. i hope you are too 🤍

This is not looking for the bright side; it’s not making the best — it’s just continuing to live with our pain. When we do, it’s possible for our lives to grow around it.

But then I tried to welcome a life that could cohabitate with the difficulties.

It’s a different life, but it’s mine, and it holds more than I had before. For example, now I’ve been able to meet you, sweet stranger-friends, and we have all these paintings for our feelings. (2/3)

yeah it does! it’s nice to have a fresh kind of algorithm with a wider variety of content.
i’d love to find more folks here and have this be an ig alternative. how are you feeling after the switch?

when i started everything was astrophotography but now it’s a wider range of stuff. i wish there was more art coming up though!
