I haven't taken a plane trip for over 10 years. I think that helps to reduce carbon emissions. Do Councillors really need to travel abroad on jollies?
November 14, 2025 at 8:32 PM
But if you look at International Travel data between 2022 and March 2025 Green Party Councillors have used Air travel for 67% of their trips. Labour Councillors used Are travel for 50% of their trips. bristol-uncovered.uk/conservative...

It's a shame to see the diversity of the Council reduced.

Are there any specific proposals you have to help save this business? Do you think BCC should provide them with suitable premises in one of their properties? Or are you thinking of something else?

Why haven't the Party Leaders in Bristol signed the Armed Forces Covenant? www.bristol.gov.uk/files/docume...

Can you confirm if Bristol City Council is signed up to the "Armed Forces Covenant"?
They do not appear on the central register, but do have a link to an un-signed certificate on their web site.

How does our newly "Independent" Councillor fit into the picture?

It is a shame that this important item was somewhat over shadowed by other events at the meeting. I have been directly impacted by this safety issue and agree it is very important.

Thanks for the clarification.

Al, I think it is very dismissive to label anyone who supports Reform as a "hater". If you look at the WECA Mayoral election are you really writing off 17,220 Bristol Reform voters as "Haters" and saying that the 27,452 Bristol Green voters were the "Hopers"? Very polarising and divisive.

From what I see Al is a conscientious and diligent Councillor and will continue to represent his residents in the same way. But there is a risk that "party switching" in-between elections can undermine trust in our Councillors and may lead to more people voting on national issues in local elections.

I have updated all of the Bristol Uncovered Reports.

I did use the photos from the Council website, but it can be hard to pick out the right person, but you are there. I couldn't find a photo of all the Councillors together.
