I know there are many trans and non-binary people who will be feeling deeply worried today, caught in the midst of a media storm as they try to simply live their lives. Please know that I stand with you - today, tomorrow and always.

My statement in response to the Supreme Court ruling today:

King's Head on Victoria Street Bristol - a boozer in the most classical sense. It feels like stepping back in time. A pint and a bit of sunshine helps me forget that the world is on fire with a pint for a few while. Definitely worth a visit. Protect the dolls.

Fire and ice or well more accurately a sauna and a dip at Suvi next to Clevedon marine lake. I'm not entirely converted to cold water swimming but can just about manage it with a sauna 😁.

Just finished the Miracle of Castel Di Sangro. Ted Lasso fans will recognise this in the hands of Coach Beard. A well told fish out of water story of an over-the-top American following a small football club in Italy. It captures the rollercoaster emotions of being a football fan very well. #booksky

Caribou at the Beacon Hall, I came out of it with more energy than I went in thanks to it being a bleak and rainy winter Monday. A hypnotic blend of dancey euphoric synths and pulsating beats. It was sonic sunshine when I most needed it.

First gig of the year at Strange Brew seeing a bunch of Bristol bands. Headlined by the phenomenal post-hardcore MOULD; they've been well described as Fugazi-esque. Definitely worth seeing, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next. #musicsky #livemusic

I have just finished my first book of the year: Edge of Here by Kelechi Okafor. It was great - Black Mirror vibes, a collection of stories about Black womanhood exploring themes of white savourism and racism using the genre of science fiction. #booksky
