Started work on a new short story today. Its a simple, feel good story about a father brining his child to a once every thousand year event called the Divine Drop Festival. Here's a little snippet to get you interested. I hope to have it done by the end of the month!

A snippet of the Divine Drop Festival. It reads as follows: It had been nearly a hundred cycles since Rapasti last saw the Valley. Its high marble cliffs covered the land in the dark embrace of shadows, the twin suns above unable to pierce its veil. Along the road ahead, thousands upon thousands of Anurai and Gemsti were grateful for this shade, as they poured in together towards the far end of the valley, their various carts, carriages, and animals echoing off the walls with thunderous conversation. Rapasti took a deep breath, the nostalgic odor of lavender and pollen brought him back to when he had his first festival nearly a thousand cycles ago. A small, gloved hand grabbed his arm, tugging him downward. He looked down at Conellus, his child, their eyes hesitant, but so full of wonder at the site before the two of them. Rapasti bent down onto his knee, putting his rather large pack onto the ground beside him; it was full of camping supplies for the night ahead. He grabbed a large bottle attached to its side, and offered it to his child.
