It’s not everyday you come across someone as enthusiastic as Kay, an avid birder whose most recent project will provide data points for conservation efforts in the state. I was honored to tag along with @haganaustin.bsky.social to document Kay’s project came to fruition after a year in the works.
Kay Hawklee’s Jeep Wrangler rumbled along a dirt road southeast of Flagstaff, kicking up dust in its wake.
