finally put together my enamel pin display, in the making for like 15 years
two rectangular ikea corkboards hanging vertically on a wall, touching on their short sides. the boards are displaying a collection of numerous enamel pins arranged in a rainbow gradient, starting with pins that are mostly pink arranged at the top, then transitioning through maroon, red, orange, green, teal, blue, purple, brown, gold, silver and gray, and black. the very bottom of the second corkboard displays a row of rainbow-colored and/or multicolored pins. the pins depict many different shows and movies including bobs burgers and the lord of the rings, bands like my chemical romance and weird al, places I’ve been like the grand canyon and Aotearoa (New Zealand), and animals like octopuses and an albino alligator.

I made some cookies for our neighbors for Halloween! pillsbury 3-pack from costco, the black frosting I got at our closing Fred Meyer for 30¢, and I made the tan/orange (cream cheese buttercream with cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger)

because I can be counted on to never narrow my choices down, here are some of mine:
1) madeline (I had a birthday watch party and my chronic illness kicked in halfway through so I missed the end)
2) gollum from this movie horrified and fascinated me

packing and going through boxes of stuff when I found this drawing I made in early high school—and me being gay was a surprise WHY

happy ten years to this bizarre dream I had once
Screenshot from Facebook from a post made ten years ago today. The post reads “Last night I had a dream that our whole family died and our spirits were being held with a bunch of other spirits in an underground building at Disneyland. The only way we could get out was by finding the weapons that killed us, but because we were ghosts we couldn't touch anything. I found the spirit of a witch who had these lozenge/cough drop things that made spirits corporeal for an hour, and I went to go find the weapons but there were spirits guarding them because they wanted to stay there forever. I managed to get the weapons away from them and then all the ghosts went to this grassy park and we all had to re-murder ourselves with the weapons so we could pass over to the other side. When every ghost killed themselves their spirits erupted into a fountain of sparks, and so many spirits were crossing over that we burned down Disneyland.”

I have some good company while I draw

finally repierced my nose after I accidentally pulled my nostril ring out after a shower months ago and couldn’t get it back in. my face feels mine again.

also I am seriously considering another set of nostril piercings farther back because why not, I have a big nose and lots of space

I bought some incredible parking lot strawberries. they’re extremely ripe and I knew we couldn’t finish them all in time so I made most of them into strawberry sauce/freezer jam

I made a middle-of-the-night fever purchase when I was sick and it arrived today with a small problem

first round of ink always makes me the most nervous. stupid shaky hands. I had good company though.
