Can't we let go of our obsession with WW2? It's history now so let it lie. There wasn't much to celebrate on VE Day 80 years ago as an impoverished almost bankrupt nation. Starmer's decision to mark the occasion by permitting extended night-time drunkeness is both inappropriate and unwanted. #VEDay

⚠️ Large number of anonymous new accounts with no activity appearing on here using handles from the other place, often from respectable well-known accounts. Don't follow them - there's no way of knowing what they'll become. The owners could easily be people with bad intentions.
