An Indigenous-led collaboration of the Syilx Okanagan, Ktunaxa, and Secwépemc Nations, Canada, and B.C., working to return salmon to the upper Columbia River.
Youth from the Syilx Okanagan, Secwépemc, and Ktunaxa Nations recently gathered in sn’pink’tn, planting indigenous flora for the Trout Creek Habitat Restoration Project and helping with the ONA’s sockeye broodstock collection. To see more from the gathering, sign up for our E-News: bit.ly/4hxd5gF

the Arrow Lakes Reservoir. In November, we witnessed history: a tagged adult female was spotted in a creek near Castlegar — the first salmon recorded returning to an Arrow Lakes spawning tributary in over 85 years. Learn more here: bit.ly/4lJH5HT

The second Bringing the Salmon Home Tri-Nation Cultural Gathering, hosted by the Secwépemc Nation, took place January 24-26.
