I hear ya. Skating is just a mode of travel with some dancing. Diving is controlled falling. Wrestling/boxing is fighting. Skiing is a mode of travel. Not sports. :-)

To qualify as a “sport” there must be a ball (or ball-like object…like a puck) and a score.

Golf is a “leisure sport” bc can drink while playing. Bowling same.

Car racing not a sport it’s a mode of travel.

Buddy and I have defied our friends for decades to prove us wrong on this perspective.
