My husband’s parents and their families experienced this horror. It’s hard to understand how or imagine why some people are so afraid they become the very thing they are fighting.

Thank you. She was. She was a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army during WW II, an RN on a hospital ship, the Wisteria. She met my dad there (he was the ship’s pharmacist). She was widowed at 59 years old and never remarried. Mom was the matriarch, tough and loving. She passed away in 2012. Amazing woman.

Just a daughter who misses her mom. She had a very dark humored outlook, was witty and independent until she passed at 91. 💐
