Dungeness season will be opening very soon
And we're definitely entering the stormy season.
So not only will they be terrorizing innocent people, their "base" forcing the chopper 100 miles away will endanger the lives of fishermen (and tourists who continue to turn their back on the ocean...)

I'd be all over that Bon Mamon one, and i'd have to spend a lot of time deciding on a knitting/yarn one, and then there's always the Inkvent calendar, too...

It's a hoot! My fae is flummoxing kids by knowing what they're dressed as - I said "You're welcome, Master Chief!" & the little boy looked at me like I'd just spoken to him in the invented language only he was supposed to know 😂 Middle aged ladies aren't supposed to know about Halo, apparently!

I will say that last year I gave the kids the choice of Candy or Potato.

I ran out of potatoes in the first two hours 😂

This year it's candy or glow bracelet! I anticipate running out of bracelets first!

I so, so wish I could do this! But with literally over 1k kids trick or treating in my neighborhood, I just can't afford it. 😮‍💨 Luckily I have some amazing friends who donate candy to the cause, especially this year!

A local BUISNESS conducts a candy drive for us.
The last two years I've been in a play in October and cast mates who don't even have kids have brought me candy!

It's a safe place for kids to trick-or-treat. And the neighborhood steps up every damn year.

Oh screw them! I live in a (middle class, non-HOA) neighborhood that consists of multiple cul-de-sacs. They close the road to cars, and people park in the nearby grocery store lots and walk in.

I routinely get *over 1,000* trick or treaters.

And you know what?

My friends donate money/candy

My insurance had to pay MORE because I had to set up with all new doctors and specialists, so instead of my yearly cheap check-in, I had to do a bunch of absurdly expensive "new patient" appointments.

And my main GP is still out of network because she's a freaking ANGEL and I refuse to leave her.

It's been over a year.
And my employer has ZERO desire to even consider changing companies, because the bulk of them live in a large urban city three hours from me. The dozen of us who have zero in-network care are shit out of luck.

My insurance dropped my entire hospital network - the ONLY network for over 50 miles. To get something as basic as a blood draw I have to drive four hours round trip. And it's over a mountain range in an area where you *may* get a pretty drive in summer, but all other seasons can be HAIRY.

It's such a weird take - it should be Jason *slays* Manhattan or something. (Just listened to the How did this get made ep about this movie lol)
