We've got to stop members of Congress from profiteering off the problems they - in many cases - have created through their actions or (more often) failure to act.
We shouldn't have to fight this hard for free and fair elections, but we won't stop until bad actors quit trying to disenfranchise voters. It's truly ironic that the people actually trying to steal elections are those who screamed Trump's false election fraud claims the loudest in 2020 (and since!)

The gov watchdog designed to keep our political campaigns ethical and transparent has been sabotaged from within. 50 yrs ago Congress created the Federal Election Commission and gave it an important mandate. If we want ethical politics to return, we must elect leaders who consider that a noble goal.
Today marks 50 years since the Federal Election Commission was created. But instead of protecting our democracy, the agency is letting billionaires and wealthy special interests drown out voters' voices. We need a strong, independent FEC now more than ever.
