Or instead, perhaps reject conventional moderate vs. leftist framing. There are through lines across the party even when there are differences. Mamdani probably wouldn’t be right (or win) to govern Virginia, but Spanberger seems like she is a good fit. Different geographies/electorates ➡️ candidates

It was '17 actually, but yes they did. A contributing factor and difference: they broke the Weinstein story, so were more incented for a sustained push
