I have a strong opinion about the historical justification for not splitting infinitives. Post doc in Tax Law, Ph.D in Sarcasm. Tax lawyer & blogger, fierce defender of the Oxford comma, full-time philologist, Latin & grammar nerd, and loyal Demon Deacon.
I wanted an oil painting of my flat coated retriever, Deacon. So I made one with AI. I'm going to print it on a canvas and hang it amongst my other Wake Forest paraphernalia. No coincidence it's Old Gold & Black! #demondeacon #wakeforest #wfu #AI #GenerativeAI #dogsofbluesky #flatcoatedretriever

Why yes, I did create an AI Latin tutor this morning. I challenge *anyone* to out-nerd that statement.

I am pleasantly shocked at how quickly it's coming back, and I have to laugh each time it corrects me...because I made it British, salty, and sarcastic. Naturally. 🤣

The first reference to Uncle Sam in literature was in the 1816 allegorical book "The Adventures of Uncle Sam, in Search After His Lost Honor" by Frederick Augustus “Tid” Fidfaddy, Esq. Should I ever need a nom-de-plume or nom-de-guerre, look out for Tid Fidfaddy II.
