4) This goes along with 2:
I cannot overstate the usefulness of looking at stock charts over the last 100 years and visualizing how things can do(!!) go up and down.

I found a few websites but this one was the easiest to navigate: www.macrotrends.net/1319/dow-jon...
Dow Jones - DJIA - 100 Year Historical Chart

I talk to family and friends but I have learned a LOT from watching Chelsea Fagan/The Financial Diet. This is not one of those dude bro finance accounts. It’s a progressive, leftist, woman-owned and run company and I really recommend them.

Biggest Stock Market Crashes In US History | Bankrate
Stocks can rise or fall on any given day, so declines aren’t uncommon. But stock market crashes are different because of the steep decline in prices over a short period of time.

1) If you’re under—or a ways off from—retirement age, you really need to stop looking at your portals.

You can’t control about what is happening/is going to happen. Looking at the graphs and the dollars move up and down is going to do absolutely nothing to help you.

Required Disclaimer: I’m no stock market or finance expert. I’m but a lowly fintech marketing professional, a lover of personal finance, and a person who makes a point to invest a decent % of my annual into my 401k & personal investments (Because I’m turning 30 and I’m scared of working forever.)
