I stumbled upon this absolutely stunning male Redstart at the cemetery today - I was just leaving as hadn't seen anything and thought "why can't there be a Redstart here?"😊 I was the first person to see it - so that was a bonus! I never see the interesting birds first! @nenbc.bsky.social

Highlight of the day definitely 3 x Treecreepers on Beeston Common. Beautiful markings on this bird. Chiffchaffs were out in force, singing away and 3 x Red Kites over Beeston Common - that's unusual for these 'ere parts (just out of shot were five Buzzards). @nenbc.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social

Still of female Peregrine early this morn on Cromer church: the webcam shows the Starling fly STRAIGHT into her! They were both dazed. Luckily she was half-asleep & the Starling flew north - very close to the sea so guessing it's a returning to Scandi bird. @NENBC_Info @RSPBbirders

Cromer Peregrines looking fab in the sun yesterday. Lots of movement/scraping around the nest box too. Female was tucking into a pigeon. We found the remains of a Teal around the church. They do like a variety! We did an 'ouch' about the Little Auk tho! @nenbc.bsky.social @rspbengland.bsky.social

I've been researching my family tree for many years & it is always worth going back every now & again to see if there is anything new. I found this lovely photograph of my maternal great-uncle's daughter (so my second cousin). I can't think I've seen a lovelier photograph of a beautiful young girl.

I took this photo years ago at a festival here. The women were laughing uncontrollably so I had the idea to get them to put their hands together as a symbol of togetherness. One of those spontaneous shots that just works. #HappyNewYear
