Lights on a tree, 3 sleepy dogs. 2 guitars, and a mixture of 3 to 5 voices. All of my favorite people in one place just hanging out. What a gift.

All of my favorite people are coming to hang out all together. Have a whole week of vacation. So so excited

Very low key day with family. Grateful for reaching an age or headspace where I let go of past beliefs and self expectations and enjoy a present moment or two.

First long weekend not working in a very long while. Was able to go through some boxes not touched since a move 6 years ago and found some old treasures. Grateful

A whole sea of lady bugs are flitting about and landing on the front windows of my home office. This is a good sign for the week ahead.

Had a great week, engaged, full, and meaningful, but it's time to stop and recharge. For fun reading day, today.

Went in ready for a fight and found connections and opportunities. All it took was the power of the pause and some openmindedness on my part. What a gift.

Nothing makes a long commute better than awesome music you can sing to, loudly....;)

Grateful that I slept until it was actually light outside. Less caffeine and more engaged work yesterday likely helped. Homemade blueberry pancakes for brunch. Have a bit of work to do. Then maybe a little yoga and reading.

Work involves both negotiation and litigation, and there is another "side" standing in the way. In the past few weeks, the other side has opted for more litigation & less negotiation. Duly noted and challenge accepted. Ready to "turn-it-on" in a new way this week. They won't know what hit them.

A day to reflect, review, ideate, and create... grateful for the time.

Win some, lose some, and gain a lot of experience. That was today's theme. Learning to focus on the learning and less so on what I may have e done poorly.

It's always good to realize that your head may have been up in your nether regions about a particular topic, and you have an opportunity to just pause and chill the f$% out. Fortunately, with age, it's not near as dramatic a moment as it once was. I have learned some things....grateful.

Long ride into a southern part of West Virginia this weekend. The windy roads swept through colorful mountains. Best fall foliage ride ever. Went to a wedding among family and friends of people I didn't know. All were happy. It was also colorful...lots of deep dark purple (my favorite color).

Letting go, bring present, listening, following my intuition in the moment....works great but also takes work :)

Some days, I actually need a nap, but I can't quiet my mind enough to sleep. Managed to nap today. Used a yoga nidra guided session 1st, then drifted off. It was great.

Day for comfy clothes, tea, and doing work prep to ease the flow of the week ahead. Cloudy with a chance of.... chocolate, as well.

Front loaded week this week. Long list for today to prep for a few days in court. Also, I'm making some soup. Have a book to read as a reward, though.

Stocked the freezer over the last 2 days. Shepherd's pie, chicken penne veggies and cream sauce, pasta salad, chicken salad. Will make a minestrone once more freezer ready containers show up. Hoping this provides enough meals until we get closer to the holidays. Not sure we'll make it that far.

Finished Dan Brown's "The Secret Of Secrets". Excellent as expected. Brings together perspectives both spiritual and scientific about consciousness from so many different sources. Practical and optimistic. bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

"Most calming influence" were the words my coworkers used to describe me. Not... the words coworkers from my past would have used. It's interesting how time, age, perspective evolves.

Just finished "Vera or Faith" bt Gary Shteyngart and much like "Culpability" by Bruce Holsinger it is seemingly everyday life and relatable characters but with some pointed spotlights on how technology has reshaped out lives. Vera covers much more in less pages. bookshop.org/p/books/vera...
