Both rides will be marshalled, are free to join and open to everyone – children, families, friends and adults without children. The rides will proceed at a gentle pace to ensure no one is left behind. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Hove ride has four feeder rides - Hove Cemetery (Old Shoreham Rd) at 2pm, Hove Park (south) at 2pm, Wish Park (east) at 2:15, Stoneham Park at 2:15. These will all converge on the seafront at Hove Beach Park. From there, at 2:30, there will be one circular ride through Hove.

The Brighton ride will have two feeder rides - Preston Park (south) at 12:15, and The Level at 12:30. From there, the ride will continue to Stanmer Park for Apple Harvest Day, arriving at 1pm. At 4pm, the ride will return to The Level and Preston Park.

We still have a long way to go before cycling is enabled for most people (those who are unwilling to mix with fast-moving motor vehicles), but continued investment in new infrastructure is the only solution.

The positive news is that, despite the removal of some of the city's protected lanes over the last few years, we are seeing the construction and planning of new infrastructure, including important new sections to expand and link the existing, fragmented 'network'.
