I'm Justin! The mysterious figure behind Brick Street Design. I'm here on Bluesky to get connected with other designers and share the work I do.
The space is incredible, with all the modern, fancy amenities you could ask for (including an espresso machine!). And having a dedicated place to go to to do work has been huge in helping manage the workload that comes along with running a business. No more working from the couch for us!

So now I'm back and I know what’s different. My online experience is mine to shape, and mine alone. I’ll be here where it serves me and I will be absent where it doesn’t. Hopefully there’s more of me here than there isn’t. I have lots of things to share, and I’m excited for you all to see them

But now I return. I’m almost 26 and I’ve found myself running a moderately successful freelance business. I consider myself a digital native. And my time spent offline has been accompanied by a feeling that some part of what I had in the early days of my online experience has been missing

One of my favorite buildings to draw was the Berry Hotel, a historical landmark here in Athens that is no longer standing. I came across an old postcard painting and based my drawing off that. This hotel was an important stop on the Underground Railroad.

This was one of the first prints I made on my new printer. I had the framed print on me when I first went into Buddy's. I had a great conversation with the budtender and spontaneously gave her that framed print, and she put in a good word with the owner.

I got to do the product labels as well as the photography for these, and I'm really happy how it turned out. This was the first major project after we figured out the Buddy's branding identity, and getting to put it to use was really helpful in exploring what the brand looks like.
