No matter how well any given day may go for you, no matter what beauty or good you may find in it, or how many happy moments you may experience, there is also a constant, insidious, gnawing sense of dread eating at you, grinding you down to a nub. Your mind can never quite fully find peace.

Absolutely. The only good thing about the administration is the effect it has had on my meditation practice. It was on & off --mostly off-- for decades prior to inauguration 2017. Since then I haven't missed a single day. You can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first.

I absolutely love everything about her, but AOC simply cannot be our next President. It pains me deeply to say so, but if we want any chance of winning, our next nominee has got to be a man. He also needs to be white, straight, and likely should not be Jewish. To pretend otherwise is pure folly.

Sure, it's very definitely something to aspire to. But in my experience that's not what people mean when they say it. People say it as if it's a fact, which it is clearly not.
