The first mini harvest of the season - letting some more tomatoes ripen a bit more on the vine.

I am discounting the cucumbers that grew to giant proportions when I was away.

Had to be away for four weeks and came back to this! The plants have done well - will need a bit of TLC once the temperatures drop a bit.

The weeds have done well too, so there are a few hours of weeding over the next few days too.

Another beautiful orb weaver from my garden.. Google says this is a Plebs bradleyi (enamelled spider).

Another #garden_helper - a common garden skink. They love it when they have little hiding spots around the garden.

This is what I am dealing with this year. An invasion of plant hoppers. I tried white oil and a chilli-garlic mix but neither did anything. Now trying Neem oil which seems to have some effect.

Unfortunately, they just jump onto other plants when I spray one. 😱

Will I have persimmons this year?

Between my possum neighbour, mice and a couple of hard prunes, my one and only persimmon harvest was 5 years ago. These are the astringent variety but oh so sweet!!!

Aargh! The hot and humid weather has meant lots of flying insects (whiteflies, etc.) in the garden.

Will this little guy help or just chill?

Not so nice weather for the plants. Lots of rain followed by harsh sun every single day.

The tomatoes and cucumbers have set out blooms. The capsicums and the eggplants are slowly making their way.
