Had some Dungeons and Dragons fun yesterday for the first time in years. I was Kermo, the frog-dressed halfling, a bard who wanted to make friends and be on stage. I got to push a slime into the ocean, so that's fun.

Always keen to read more New Gods. I've had the Mr Miracle series on my shelf for a while...and oof, it hits hard. A study of depression and living up to people's expectations. And fatherhood.

Always keen to read more New Gods. I've had the Mr Miracle series on my shelf for a while...and oof, it hits hard. A study of depression and living up to people's expectations. And fatherhood.

It's The last murder at the end of the world by Stuart Turton.
What a book! Genre-defying, mystery-filled, sci-fi just how I like it. I felt for every character and loved the ending. A big contender for book of the year for me so far.

We finally got to see Flow! It's about a cat going on misadventures through a big flood.
As a (black) cat owner, some bits were hard, but it's mostly a nice time. Very good experiment in environmental storytelling. There's also a space whale?

It's Tales from the Cafe! I read most of it on a plane! Yes, I'm skipping books, mostly because I forget.
Tales is good, I love magic time-travel cafes, but I'm not sure if this series is for me at the moment. Might move on before reading more in the series.
