Update: The wiring looks fine, so after a few small repairs to the base, its done!
I do want get a new bulb, though. I like the size of the one I had on hand, but I think an amber bulb would be nicer for this lamp

I spent a whole $5 to rescue these (and a leather bag) from the garbage dump salvage center.
The lamp just needs some small repairs, and the lock will absolutely be installed in my tiny cabin.
