So, there are emergencies that are sorta existential, and then there are emergencies that are existential in the ordinary way, and THEN there are emergencies that are particularly existential?

I hadn't either. Perhaps for good reason. Can you name all your cases' carts?

Do you know if after July 7 and 10, the petitioners did anything further to bug the district court? Presumably, they would have. @alahav.bsky.social

Perhaps. But what's the evidence that the infighting is making things better for people politically or otherwise?

Very interesting. How do these numbers--particularly the gaps between the average and low earners and the top earners--compare to the U.S.?

Got ya. Thanks. Everyone believes in public goods. The debates are about which ones, on whom they are bestowed, and who bears the cost.

And if that weren't true, it would still have been the first game-ending postseason 7-4 double play in game 6 of a world series in Toronto in a game that ended after 10 pm eastern time.

I'm all in for the Jays, but that's not a great matchup for them. Scherzer is not doing now anything like what he did in 2019. For instance, 2025 WHIP: 1.29; ERA: 5.19. (Ohtani: 1.04 WHIP; 2.87 ERA.) Are they hoping to get 3 innings from him maybe?

Wow. Interesting. They are going to have more talent then they've had in a while it seems. The questions are, it seems, (1) whether they'll play well together, and (2) Joel.
