Thanks for your fantastic work on social media Van.
A powerful, positive voice for so many of us appalled by the direction our country was heading.

God you are insightful and clever John.

There is a certain desperation to Dutton at the moment as he starts tripping over his own feet in the final straight.

If the spud wins then our transformation to a fully devolved society has succeeded and i will be more miserable than when scomo won on my 60th birthday and ruined it.

Janet makes her living stoking culture wars.
Tedious but effective apparently, the Murdoch business model.
Her columns should come with a health warning.

A lot of frustration in the comments that Albo “hasn’t delivered”. Please remember most of the Australian media landscape services the interests of conservatives and continues to mute ALP messaging, allows conservative pundits to undermine policy wins, and frames every decision as questionable.

His statement that his papers are the last bastion of conservative values in a liberal world is absurd.

Commiserations.
I refuse to allow it any where near me.

Im thinking Michaelia and co are backing the wrong horse if todays US tariff announcements are any guide.

Tonights 4corners highlighting the difficulties facing the 2 party systems rule.....
Duttons trump lite stirring the pot with his populist policies, Labor trying hard to get on top of cost of living issues without spiking inflation or interest rates. And independents the cream between.

9 years in power and obstruction all the way in our energy transition.
The theatre of the absurd as the coalition literally digs in to delay, baby delay.

I'm always surprised that the divide and conquer strategy used by populist politicians like Trump and Dutton is successful.
The only conclusion i can come to is that critical thinking skills are in perilously short supply.

The irony being the party that is supposedly the economic managers par excellence saw a cost blowout under their leadership.
The Australian is a broken, irrelevant rag of an opinion paper.

The labor government has a wealth of policy initiatives implemented, while bringing inflation down, stabilising interest rate rises, record low unemployment, restoring trade to china, while navigating a narrow post pandemic economic path.
Glass half full or glass half empty ?

We don't have the new export earners set up yet to replace coal as much as we all want carbon extraction done with.
That puts any government in a bind...

Anyone under 30 wouldn't have seen an economic downturn in this country.
The media has no interest in good news and are a huge part of the problem.
Big business own the media, at the moment they are busy trying to remove the labor government , however competent.

Dutton is following the conservative NZ governments narrative of reducing indigenous recognition and representation.
By appealing to voters baser instinct he proves himself unworthy of political office.

Did not think Australians would fall for a repeat of the Abbott era negativity but here we go again.
And how did that work out people?
