Finally, the system is the problem here… We need to make it so that the highest and best use is to build affordable housing if that’s what we as a community one which means putting pressure on elected officials to change what can be built and how.

Second, love or hate the design, diversity of architecture is important and while I have a few thoughts, this is clearly a well thought through piece of architecture.

Why not use that money to build more housing with the requirement that some units will be available for short term rentals? If you’re gonna lobby, at least propose some good solutions to a problem you can actually help solve instead of these shallow and thoughtless policies.

I feel like the takeaway should be we need to actually provide better paths to financial stability, not less regulation on gambling. Honestly, hard to (but still will) blame them when all they hear is how all the jobs are gonna be gone and their 9-5 will never allow them to afford a home.
