I’m not sure how things came across in the book but I designed him as a wolf without a pack. Noble and cunning but not whole without his family. #dnd

I’m always trying to learn from Mignola’s infernal gift with black and white. Panels, pages and spreads are all so cinematic. Big masses broken by an edge and hinted form instantly creates complex depth. All of my initial scene sketches try to emulate this master.
