Let’s see…Screenwriter, professional TTRPG designer for Kobold Press and author. Producer and (unwitting) actor at times. Veteran of Medieval reenactment. Mimic aficionado. Woodworker. Father of two children who tolerate him. Has many dogs.
It was so funny!!!

I’d love a copy of that! My players are currently in Metrol trying to avoid a civil war among the Lord of Blades followers

Another idea I had is follow up questions.

It’s an okay answer if a player tells you their character’s village was destroyed by mimics (or something).

But the GM could then ask a few follow up questions specifically about that event. Like, “who died?”, “who lived?”, or “who do you blame?”

I would be concerned with putting too many walls up around an answer but a list of choices or examples is a great idea

I’m more talking about the types of questions on a character questionnaire that would be most helpful to a GM. For example, “why did your character decide to become an adventurer?”

One of my favorites is “Fortress Unvanquishable, Save for Sacnoth”

I would 100% read a book (or watch a show) about Delirium just going about their day.

If I apply that metric, I’m half pilgrim and half Chinese
